Alzheimer's Unit

St. John of God Retirement & Care Center is now ready to complete the final phase of its continuum care - a facility designed to meet the special needs of residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The two-story facility will consist of studios, one and two bedroom apartments and will accommodate up to thirty-eight residents.

In 1997, a $17 million capital campaign was launched to provide new assisted living services for residents. Thanks to significant grants from the Ahmanson, Burns, Disney, Doheny, Leavey, Parsons and Weingart Foundations and strong board and community support, just $1,207,371 is now needed to complete the funding for this project.
